THE FILM SOCIETY OF LINCOLN CENTER’s popular Scary Movies film series returns with a collection of hair-raising premieres and fright classics. The schedule of films includes highlights such as the first New York showings of Ben Wheatley’s genre-crossing KILL LIST, Ti West’s supernatural caper THE INNKEEPERS, Scott Leberecht’s fresh take on vampirism MIDNIGHT SON, and the deliciously grotesque multiple-director omnibus THE THEATRE BIZARRE, as well as Mariano Baino’s 1993 nunsploitation film, DARK WATERS.
Scary Movies will also offer a very rare live-stage performance in concert with the films screened, as FSLC presents a special live performance of “Nevermore,” Jeffrey Combs’s one-man portrayal of the Father of Gothic Horror, Edgar Allan Poe, directed by Stuart Gordon and written by Dennis Paoli.
